mo'olelo

  • Share a story, haʻi ʻōlelo, or testimonial

  • Share a 1-3 minute video of 1 of the following:

a) Tell us a story about one of your kūpuna (elder or ancestor) or someone in your community

b) Tell us a moʻolelo (story, folklore) from your culture

c) Share a haʻi ʻōlelo or speech about a current issue or opportunity that you feel strongly about

d) **For Mana Mele youth and alumni ONLY** Share your favorite memories/experiences with our Mana Mele Project (year-long classes, artist & mobile studio school visits, film shoots & events, etc) and how those experiences have affected your life.

  • The selection committee will select Moʻolelo finalists based on the content and delivery of your moʻolelo or haʻi ʻōlelo - was it easy to follow, and effective in its aim to entertain, inspire and/or educate?

  • When submitting your video, weʻd love to hear how you came to learn of this story, or why you chose to share it.
